ABOUT WANDA

My name is Wanda DeGruy also known as Sugah. I have two wonderful daughters and two

beautiful granddaughters who I strive to make proud of me as their mother and grandmother every day.

I've worked in the medical field for over 28 years servicing and helping people. Suffering from spinal

stenosis and undergoing a neck Anterior Cervical Fusion while dealing with Chronic/severe pain, I then

had to have another surgery to my lower back a Lumbar Cervical Fusion. My mother who was a

registered nurse cared for me and took care of me after my surgery at the beginning of the Covid

Pandemic. Then the unthinkable happened. My Mother passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Nov

2020. It was tragic and I was devastated. I was in a dark place while struggling with my mother's death.

My oldest granddaughter who has Cerebral Palsy coded at home and her mother performed CPR. By

the grace and mercy of GOD revived her. She was admitted to Children's hospital for over a month

where she recovered and was discharged home, then Hurricane Ida hit. I received significant damage to

my home. That's when my prayers and conversations with God became intense and lead me to

understand that it was time for me to step out on faith and trust that he'll lead me on my new journey

and that it was time to pursue one of my passions and do something that I've always truly enjoyed and

made me happy. My love for fashion and design. Pure Sugah!
